Muhammad Ali Profile

Muhammad Ali beat more champions and top competitors than any other heavyweight champion in history.  He still remains the only three-time lineal heavyweight champion, having won the title in 1964, 1974, and 1978. From 1964 to 1966 he successfully defended the heavyweight title 9 times. Although lose his title to Leon Spinks on February 15, 1978.


Muhammad Ali during his 62 pro boxing matches, he was only stopped once. This was by Larry Holmes on a technical knockout.

Also, he received the Otto Hahn peace medal for his “life-long engagement in the American civil rights movement and the global cultural emancipation of blacks, as well as his work as a UN Goodwill ambassador”. Ali was also Awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush on 9 November 2005


He had many quotes he is known for such as “THE MORE WE HELP OTHERS, THE MORE WE HELP OURSELVES” and “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”

But his most famous and well known quote:

“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. His hands can’t hit what his eyes can’t see.”
